Beauty and the Beast

I am the ugliest Beast,
Punished for being a selfish bitch;
I have snakes instead of hair
Claws on my hands, spines everywhere.

She is Beauty of the Tender Glance,
A fairy I met by chance;
She has rainbows all around,
Colorful clothes, peace in her voice's sound.

***

I am a monster, slithering in ruins;
I scream and roar, committing all sins;
I am the Nightmare destroying dreams
I am living in pain, hateful as it seems.

Worlds grow up from nothingness
Wherever may land her steps;
She draws happiness and laughter
Turning winters into spring and summer.

I had lost any hope of breaking my curse,
Resting in pain with only Death as my nurse.
It's a miracle that she crossed my road;
With her wings she relieved me of my load.

"You're not as bitchy as you think", she said,
"And you'd better stop feeling moronic, or else
I'll have to poke you at the face!"
... and I grinned, my cheeks of a burning red.

My tiger claws become kitten paws,
And my spines go flat as she redraws
My shape in many attractive ways,
And my face with nice-looking traits.

***

What I found in Beauty's eyes is my true reflection
The one I lost, long ago, looking in the wrong direction.
My curse is now broken thanks to Beauty's charm :
Loving me for who I am.

This one is supposed to be related to the fairy tale Beauty and the Beast, for *M-iikado's contest about "fairy tales". Not sure it fits the theme, but well, inspiration gave me this piece, so...
I hope there aren't too many mistakes u.u
